The primary responsibility of the Commercial Card Sales Representative is to increase commercial card acquisition and growth across all Zions Bancorporation affiliate banks.
The Commercial Card Sales Representative is a client‑facing technical sales expert responsible for driving high‑quality commercial and business card acquisition across the enterprise. This role partners with Treasury Management Officers (TMOs), Relationship Managers (RMs), Account Managers, Product, and Implementation teams to ensure every opportunity—from discovery through early lifecycle—is accurately scoped, competitively positioned, and successfully closed.
Responsibilities:
- This role combines deep product expertise, solution selling, and deal ownership to deliver the right solutions for clients while supporting strong portfolio performance for the bank.
- Deliver tailored product demos (Spend Clarity, Visa Payables Automation (VPA), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integrations) and translate technical features into business value.
- Lead technical and consultative sales efforts; support product‑fit decisions between Business Card and Commercial Card.
- Serve as the closer for complex opportunities; co‑sell with TMOs/RMs on mid‑market and corporate deals.
- Support pricing strategy, custom pricing grids, and RFP responses.
- Ensure complete and accurate pre‑sale documentation and strong handoffs to Account Management and Implementation.
- Stay involved through early onboarding milestones to ensure smooth implementation.
- Build strong relationships with TMOs, RMs, and affiliate bank leadership; plan and participate in events, roadshows, and client meetings.
- Provide deal coaching, portfolio opportunity insights, and pipeline support.
- Share competitive landscape insights and support internal education on commercial card capabilities.
- Perform competitive research, product functionality analysis, and reporting as required.
- Support TMO education and field knowledge regarding commercial card capabilities and best practices.
- Travel as needed; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in commercial payments, treasury management, card solutions, or consultative B2B sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to translate complex concepts to clients.
- Excellent sales, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of corporate finance, payment systems, and expense management tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and develop tailored client solutions.
- Highly organized with strong follow‑through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
