Zions Bancorporation, N.A. is seeking a qualified Operations Compliance Officer to primarily support the Operations Compliance team. This team oversees deposit and payment regulations impacting both consumers and commercial customers of the bank. This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah and reports to the Operations Compliance Team Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide regulatory oversight of assigned regulations, business areas and functions (specific focus areas to be determined).
  • Support and implement requirements of a compliance program designed to ensure all areas of the department and/or company are complying with applicable laws and regulation.  
  • Partner with business owners, supporting them through on-going oversight based on a deep understanding of their specific processes.
  • Perform annual compliance risk assessments and targeted reviews to proactively identify, evaluate, and address potential regulatory vulnerabilities.
  • Perform compliance review and challenge on issues, projects, procedures, and other business activities to ensure strict alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge through ongoing training and education.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across departments.
  • Support other functions within Operations Compliances as needed.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in banking/financial services compliance, auditing, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, auditing, and financial principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

 

Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, the Zions Bank Building serves as the headquarters of both Zions Bancorporation and Zions Bank. The building sits adjacent to City Creek Center, a world-class shopping and dining destination with more than 100 stores and restaurants.
