We are currently looking for a Real Estate Strategic Planning Manager to manage and support our Commercial Real Estate projects and programs. The right candidate will deliver reporting, forecasting, and executive-level insights that support the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) business. This role combines financial analysis with business intelligence, leveraging Power BI, Excel, and other Microsoft tools to provide actionable insights, automate reporting, and support strategic decision-making.  The role has the following key responsibilities:

 

Job Responsibilities:

·       Manages and provides support for projects and programs, initiatives and strategic planning for those projects and programs.

·       Supports the bank’s strategic planning with analytics and reporting for the CRE Division. Conduct cost center, department, and divisional business reviews to evaluate financial performance and identify trends.

·       Determines the scope and approach of the analysis to best support the business need, which may include dashboards, reports and scorecards.

·       Provide reporting and analytical support across business divisions and partner with business leaders, relationship managers, and credit teams. Support enterprise-wide CRE reporting needs and provide analysis to business partners and executive leadership.

·       Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and custom reporting solutions that communicate performance metrics and strategic insights.

·       Build end-to-end reporting solutions using Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and advanced Excel tools.

·       Extract, transform, validate, and analyze data from multiple source systems, including Business Objects, Salesforce, Power BI datasets, and internal banking platforms.

  • Develop executive-level presentations and business reviews using PowerPoint and other Microsoft tools.
  • Present complex financial and operational data in a concise and meaningful format for senior leadership.

·       Performs project planning, risk assessments, requirements discovery, resource assignments and all related program management activities.

·       Identifies opportunities to automate business processes and improve reporting accuracy through technology solutions.

·       Facilitates decision making.

·       May be responsible to manage a staff, including hiring, firing and performance reviews.

·       Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

·       Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Analytics or related field

·       4+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or similar role.

·       Extensive knowledge of financial analysis, strategic planning, business analysis, preferably in the banking/finance industry.

·       Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and Power Query.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for executive-level presentations.

·       Experience with Power BI preferred.

·       Experience extracting, cleaning, and transforming large datasets from multiple data sources.

·       Solid relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.

·       Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills.

·       Ability to lead projects and programs.

·       Exhibits a strong degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in decision making and problem solving.

·       Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work under stress.

·       Solid management skills.

 

Location:  California (Menlo Park preferred)   This role can be based in Menlo Park, Los Angeles, Irvine or San Diego.  Menlo Park is the preferred location; however, we will consider highly qualified candidates located near any of our California office locations.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $117,000 - $144,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
