We are seeking a Technology Product Manager to join the Zions Bancorporation Innovation Lab. The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing and guiding a portfolio of innovative products and experiments from ideation to proof-of-concept and scalable launch. This role collaborates with emerging technology partners, internal business units, and engineering to build and refine our product roadmap, ensuring the successful delivery of strategic initiatives that solve real user problems. The Product Manager will lead dynamic, cross-functional teams, own the product lifecycle, and drive progress against ambitious timelines while interacting directly with senior business and technology leaders. This position is pivotal in championing a culture of innovation, defining the scope of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), and ensuring that product increments yield valuable user insights and learnings. This role will also track, analyze, and communicate product KPIs and the potential impact of the innovation portfolio, functioning as a key point of contact for all product initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of innovation initiatives and proof-of-concepts.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, business units, and external partners to develop, prioritize, and manage the product backlog.
- Lead multidisciplinary squads in a fast-paced, experimental environment, delivering customer value iteratively through Agile methodologies.
- Directly interact with senior leadership and executive sponsors to communicate product progress, user feedback, and strategic insights.
- Define the scope, objectives, product requirements (PRDs/user stories), and success metrics for new products and experiments.
- Develop and maintain product release plans to ensure alignment with strategic business priorities and customer needs.
- Own product KPIs, tracking and analyzing user data and experiment results to iterate on features, resolve issues, and identify new opportunities.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with new technologies, business models, and product-market fit.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional team members; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Executive Presence: Proven ability to create high-impact presentations and confidently present product strategy to executive stakeholders.
- Strong customer empathy, decision-making, problem-resolution, and client relationship skills.
- Experience with AI and integrating emerging technologies into product offerings.
- Expert knowledge of product management practices, including agile methodologies, lean startup principles, customer discovery, and tools for managing product pipelines.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, market analysis, and change management skills, with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership, coaching, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex product issues in a fast-paced, experimental environment.
- Expert prioritization, negotiation, and facilitation abilities; comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
- Advanced working knowledge of emerging technologies, innovation frameworks, and design thinking.
- May lead or train lower-level staff.
- 6+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technology, innovation, or software development.
- Requires a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Work Location:
This position will be a hybrid work schedule (3 days a week in office) at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus is the company’s primary technology and operations center.
