We are looking for a Business Analyst Intern in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes, systems and user needs.
The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to:
- Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes, systems, and user needs, applying a consultative approach to clarify problems and identify opportunities.
- Support data gathering, cleaning, and analysis to compile, interpret, and report key insights that inform operations and business objectives.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear problem statements and analysis plans.
- Participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of business and systems processes, following established standards and contributing analytical recommendations.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable opportunities for the business and clients.
- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to appropriate audiences through summaries, visualizations, or presentations.
- Produce and distribute operational reports and dashboards that track the performance of products, processes, and technologies.
- Assist with test planning and execution, provide input on feasibility, prepare user documentation, and support post‑implementation evaluation.
- Support the resolution of business or system issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist in basic project management activities such as task tracking, milestone documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled in a College/University or graduated within the current year with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or similar degree (be sure to include your GPA on your resume or cover letter)
- Some experience in business process analysis, gathering and documenting business requirements or other directly related experience.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL and Excel.
- Experience in analysis of business process and workflow and/or process improvement.
- Some experience with project methodology.
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
This position is eligible to earn a base rate of $20/hr.
